‘the twirl house’ rendering

for the next- gene 20 project danish architect julien de smedt designed the ‘twirl’ house. rather than building above ground they have created a design that manipulates the landscape of ao-di, taiwan. the patio house is shaped like a walled donut embedded into the ground. the house celebrates the views and protects itself from being viewed.
