'the twirl house' rendering
for the next- gene 20 project danish architect julien de smedt designed the 'twirl' house.
rather than building above ground they have created a design that manipulates the
landscape of ao-di, taiwan. the patio house is shaped like a walled donut embedded into
the ground. the house celebrates the views and protects itself from being viewed.

the slight slope allows parts of the house to pop up and view the landscape
