earlier this year 100 architects from 27 countries around the world were invited by herzog and de meuron
to participate in the ordos 100 project. curated by ai wei wei of fake design the project is a major development
of 100 villas in ordos, inner mongolia, china. each architect was given 100 days to create their 1000 square
meter villa. the project was divided into 2 phases. the first phase was the development of 28 villas, while the
second phase will develop the remaining 72.

for ordos 100 chilean architect alejandro aravena created a three storey villa made with bricks. the villa consists
of a viewing platform and indoor swimming pool.
