this chilean residence is located in the town of talca. it takes its name from the chilean word for
a mix-breed dog: kiltro. like the dog of many breeds, the architects designed this home to have
many different characteristics. aesthetics was a concern as was fun, scale and recreation.
by combining the elements into one home, was able to achieve a home that can fill many functions.
at the centre of the home is a glass box that looks out into the other rooms. it also lets light in and
holds the stairs to the ground level. the rest of the home was built outwards with various parts
added around. the final layer is a wooden deck which is linked on one side by a long ramp,
making the entire roof a usable space in warm weather.
