wellness sky by 4of7
wellness sky by 4of7

the ‘danube flower’ began life thirty-five years ago as a restaurant sponsored by the communist
government in belgrade. over time the building disintegrated and became unused. however the firm 4of7
worked with the building’s owner to integrate it with the attached fitness club below. the wellness sky
concept came out of this brief. the new building was designed to feel like entering a cloud. to achieve
this they used an open concept space that uses reflective resin floor finishes and semi translucent
stretched ceiling hung in a faceted pattern. the building form has been restored focusing on its unusual
triangular form. the wellness sky sits fifteen metres for the ground level and the danube river. the main
volume is cantilevered and shroud in glass, enhancing its shape.
