situated atop a hill in the town of penafiel, portugal is 'house 1' designed by portugese architectural firm
claudio vilarinho architects. spanning 28 meters by 10 meters the house rests on a continuous grass carpet.
at its highest point the house overlooks the valley below. at the center of the house is the main entrance that
consists of a patio. made out of cement slabs is the parking area located below the house, which stands 10
meters in the air.
