ordos 100: 'double class villa' by babel architectures

israeli firm babel architectures designed 'double class villa' for the ordos 100 project
located in inner mongolia, china. the villa is composed of 3 main elements;
2 brick skin cubes above the ground level: private spaces for the owner and the worker,
a concrete flat surface (camouflage carpet) on the ground level and an underground level
including common spaces and courtyards.
the grey cube houses the owner whilst the red cube houses the worker. the two cube
have separate and private access from the main underground entrance floor and from
the ground floor camouflage carpet.
most of the plot is covered by a generic carpet that reproduces a 'woodland' standard
camouflage pattern. it will be formed by hollow paving – like upside down hollow
concrete (2 holes blocks). according to the design pattern, the hollow parts will be filled
with different plants or fillings. the carpet is perforated by square openings in 3 measurements.
