the presenhuber house designed by the swiss firm AFGH is a contemporary residence for an art gallery
owner in the traditional village of vnà, switzerland. the holiday home’s design aims to blend into the
vernacular architecture while clearly defining itself as a contemporary structure. the home is made from
a concrete structure that mimics the nearby stone houses. inside, the rooms are lined with wood to create
a warm atmosphere. the windows have been placed according to the interior configuration giving the
outside facades an informal appearance, a kin to the neighbouring architecture. the façade also features
a wood entry way that is perforated to allow light to enter. the interior features a living area and sleeping
areas as well as an open space for the display of artworks.
