eric owen moss architects: 3555 hayden

eric owen moss architects turned an old warehouse building into a headquarters for a national broadcaster
in culver city, california. the project is part of the large ongoing conjunctive points development.
the architects were faced with adding post-production space to an existing soundstage. the addition was
added on top of the existing two-story structure complete with its undulating roofline. the complex
geometry of the roof is fully exposed inside where all the individual beams and rafters are visible. this large
upper floor is light by a series of skylights that are located in between the three main volumes that measure
42 feet long. on the north side there is also a courtyard that has been cut into the façade and wrapped with
a steel-framed glass wall.
