toronto based architecture firm paul raff studio created the bluepoint sales pavilion for a residential
development in phuket, thailand. the  structure was designed to give the public an opportunity to enjoy the
scenery and keep updated with the 20-unit development’s progress. the pavilion overlooks the adaman sea
and references the houseboats of the nomadic fishermen who first inhabited the region. the curved timbre
design mimics the fisherman’s boats by using local timbre curved around a triangulated steel frame.
this curved timbre design will be carried into the residences. the large glass expanses and use of stone are
also contemporary takes on local building traditions. the pavilion measures 50 square meters in area.
