the 4th festival of lively architecture organized by association champ libre, took
place in montpellier from june 18th-21st 2009. architects from around the world
participated and answered the theme of 'short lived curiosities', realized in the courtyards
of private mansions in montpellier for four days.
this year the prize of the festival went to the project 'u chi wa' created by the students
of the master of architecture of the tohoku university of sendai, in japan.
two honorable mentions were given to the projects 'sable y est' by julien pinard,
cécile combelle, antonio di bacco and sophie guéritée - paris, and the the project
'hibernature' by antoine lacaze + charles mantoux - paris.
