the LEGO house is the latest toy challenge that james may has undertook as part of his BBC series james may's toy stories. other projects included the world's first plasticine garden, which won the people's choice award at the chelsea flower show, and the world's largest model plane. the show also created a scalextric version of the brooklands 2.75-mile racetrack in weybridge.

What a shameless PR stunt, and a waste of a great concept. Think of what they could've made. Bad architecture, pure gimmick, and bad environmentally. A large plastic hemmoroid juxstaposed the green landscape.
D'grey   09.01.09
news flash : GLOBAL WARMING! you think this helps?
uknown   09.01.09
for me its stupid, this cant be house for normal family ;]
snowboy   09.01.09
It's... wonderful ! May I book one room for me?
:PpPp
PiccoloSocrate   09.01.09
Utterly pointless. It can't function as a house. It doesn't look good. What exactly is the appeal of this project?
Qwill   09.01.09
FAKE, suppose to be build ou of LEGO there is alot of wood. EVERYbody whit enough money can do this.

Sad. 10 points off
Timmy   09.01.09
This is just for all of the pricks that are just bashing this. How about YOU make a house out of teeny tiny plastic pieces. AND. It's JUST as hurtful as any stucco house to the environment. This is an amazing work! Be grateful that there are some people who are NOT stiff brats that can branch out and make something amazing. The end.
SCTA   09.01.09
I think that if the lego was green and brown only, perhaps it would have been better for the environment. Hang on, brown lego doesn't exist, does it?
Anyway, this is a great idea for job creation.
paula   09.01.09
This is very gimmicky and poorly executed. I fail to see any innovation here as the legos act more as a cladding element, rather than forming any type of architecture. The same effect could have been achieved by painting the walls with stripes.

Also, the artist failed to utilize what legos are so great for, that is creating 8-bit geometries (think white stripes vid, or lego-land models), i'm not sure what the intentions here were. total waste of time and money on something completely uninteresting....
S/M   09.02.09
Shopped!!!
fccfu   09.02.09
i can feel the pessimism oozing from you knuckleheads. destroy everything with your judgement. enjoy nothing. it is, afterall, what humans do best. you are fools
Michelangelos Epitaph   09.02.09
would live there for a few days?
waste of resources when there is so much real need in the world (one of those needs being real housing)
JP   09.02.09
That's not a toy, at all. Apart from color element no other playfulness revealed. An imaginary marketing extension of the original logo toy function. I dont want to imagine how is leaving in that plastic house under sun exposure.
Lise09   09.04.09
WHATS NEXT? THE LEGO- CITY? (spooky-grandiose)
Michels   09.04.09
surprsing to see what all ppl do to be noticed. eco aside...what a waste of effort and time.
jakarta   09.04.09
I like
Hai   09.06.09
Cool!
MC   09.06.09
Nice one! And for those who think art is about ECO, what are you doing on the computer wasting electricity reading about this?????
Well you should just close your eyes and imagine an exciting life. Preferably somewhere else....
Peer   09.07.09
