japanese architect kotaro horiuchi designed salon du fromage for porte de versailles (france trade fair) held once a year in the brands’ cheese store in paris.

for the project they renovated the existing building respecting the small site and converted the inner space to flow outside. the internal and external facade of various sizes, consists of gradient studs made with aluminium.

the space segment is cut diagonally placed on a circular floor. the main gallery captures the cheese on display, leading to the upstairs space. this area integrates fashion events, cooking classes, wine and cheese membership meetings, a non-gallery-like boutique and the changing restaurant exhibits.
