Absolutely Chic and incredible. Wouldn't mind living there myself, a transformer and locket house.
The Soka   10.14.09
Based on the photos, the interior looks as sterile as a new hospital... could it be any colder, less comfortable in appearance?
C Cooper   10.15.09
The bathroom is really not very practical, not even a door? As for intimate privacy, we wont even go there. This is open plan living gone way too far
Al   10.15.09
why does the interior need warmth when nature is so near? and visible from all rooms of the house i might add.
diamonds   10.15.09
architecural incredible. would never live there though, horrible floor plan for entertaining guests. and i dont like walking in circles. im more of a direct path person.
jimbo slice   10.15.09
It is a puzzle of furniture, minimal rooms within a box space, linked together by some wall openings and a double depth path (in and out).
Every rooms gets an horizon, but each one of the 4 horizons gets a particular set of rooms.
It is not designed for a way of life, it is for healthy and relaxed tourists/owners.

I can't say I'd live here but there are some elements of the house that strike me as great ideas. First, and foremost, its clean. But aside from cleanliness it has great personality as a building design. Not quite as great with all the elements together, however separated, some ideas are wonderful. For instance, the fact that it has a lot of window action is grand and the fact that it has depth even in its tiny rooms. One thing it has is complexity in the furniture, if that's what you call it, and is nice to spend a night or two in. Just my honest opinion.
Geramy   10.16.09
I love its compactness---and with the windows, it would seem roomier than it really is. I like to pace, I can see myself going around and around.
Kevin from Astoria   10.17.09
I think it'd be really cool as some sort of cottage or get-away. Obviously it's not meant for sustaining more than one or two people for a long time, but that's alright when you just need to get to the woods. And, if it wasn't for all the trees around, I would say it needs more privacy. However, I think that the location more than makes up for the large supply of windows. Also, kudos on saving energy during the day, this thing would hardly have to have lighting (this is something I see being a problem in a lot of modern houses).
Brian   10.17.09
amazing
Nader Henen   10.17.09
it looks amazing. maybe not in a wooded area, and with modern sleek blinds, in a suburban/urban/burrow area.
ChristovReborn   10.18.09
Is it just me, or can you totally see the shower from the last shot?
Sarah   10.18.09
that's only a concept for an appartment
but it looks great!
i think it's a house of the future
g-l   10.18.09
Atrocious lack of imagination. Sterile rooms in a box. In the middle of a beautiful woods. Gives modern design a bad name.
Rick   10.18.09
I need to go back into architectural college. This is so unappealing, and I am the ultimate contemporary stylistic person you could ever meet.
Chris   10.19.09
In response to Al's comment - The bathroom could easily have a door added to it, however, the toilet is around the corner and not visible from the outer passage way so I really don't see the need to add a door. Plus their is no space for people to lurk there and spy on you!

I think the overall concept is great for singles, retired people or as travel rental units as Koers is slating it, a "holiday cottage". Not intended for long term living, with that in mind, I think it is fantastic, clean and simple.
Hannah   10.19.09
When can I move in?
Oldhenwife   10.19.09
Looks simple but beautiful. The light from perpendicular windows, this way | | | | | | , as if they are another kind of trees in the night. And the same windows will frame the trees as pictures when you view from inside.
xinstudio   10.20.09
Ugly. Looks like a shipping container. I'd rather live in my truck.
Jeune   10.20.09
Love it 4 sure. I use to own something similar in Berlin.

It is a fantastic idea, but not at all practical if you have a family in mind and of course the security aspect.
Clive - South Africa   10.20.09
very interesting concept...I love it!
Angela - Brazil   10.20.09
Beautiful. So simple and yet elegant.
Melissa Giovagnoli   10.20.09
verry good. I hate doors.
jennifer   10.20.09
This is the Dymaxion House meets the Farnsworth House.
David   10.20.09
first rule of designing a house should be function I think. first rule is broken. it is not functional. vision and furniture design can not save the money that they've spent. l can only say work harder and think more.. you will be succeed.
karakiri   10.20.09
One word: claustrophobic
Qinese   10.20.09
Its great if you
- have no cloths, cookware, utensils, lamps, suitcase, newspapers or mail delivery.

Great
if you like making the bed while crawling over it, or going the the bathroom climbing over your partner.

Privacy is easy
- close the sliders up tight
and you still have plenty of daylight
in the shower and toilet

Tremendous
- if you like your outdoor deck one meter wide, although not sure where to hook the hammock or safely place the Weber grill

I'm sure either is there is room for the tooth brush, but forget the paste, a waste of space.

Oh and bring you own suction hooks if you want to hang a towel.

Great Archi study!!!
- But it looks like it is actually built. Hope no one moves in to spoil it.
