japanese firm atelier tekuto have completed HG house in setagaya-ku. the concept of
the house was derived from the client's request of 'living in the garage'. the living room
opens out into a courtyard where bikes can be stored. the overall design is unified with
finishes using steel and solid wood.

Fantastic design for urban "infill" projects. I could imagine it would great for someone, like an artist, that could use the space up front as a studio. I'm personally too excited over the interior styling, but that is more about personal taste then overall layout.

exploring one of le corbusier's 'five points of architecture', the design creates a non-supporting 'free facade' through a system of glass blocks, steel flat bars, and ALC panels.

this single family residence in chiba, japan has been constructed with 2,600 custom bricks formed from a mixture of soil and magnesium oxide, a readily available and biodegradable additive.
