situated in the osaka prefecture sakai city, this house in hamadera is designed by akiyoshi nakao
of coo planning. the request of the client was that the apartment for four, reference architectural details
similar to that of a flat in paris. this is expressed through the expansive bookshelves found throughout
and the high ceilings. from floor to ceiling, the interior is paneled in wood giving a warm, lofty feeling.
construction for the project was completed by mitsuda structural consultants.

This is so awesome! I love the idea of having a bookshelf for an entire wall... There are so many ways you can make this large space cozy and personalized, or you could leave it open and minimal! Great work...

Wow, I really don't like this. Usu. very much into small Japanese houses/offices, this looks horrible. I hardly even understand the paris flat reference, and to the comment above - entire walls as bookshelves - is hardly an innovative idea.

plans/sections please! :)

Japanese houses still don't have insulation, that house is gonna be freezing. Look at the bookshelf with the window and see the the thickness of the wall. brrrrrrr

As for this house, the exterior thermal insulation seems to be adopted.
You might do not have to be benumbed in all because insulated processing is done when there is a bookshelf at not being. The insulation efficiency of Japan is excellent.

I'd like to see some phots of this with the owner's books in it.
