office 24/7: metromover station

the metromover station proposal by melbourne, australia’s office 24/7 has been selected as the winner of
the dawntown architectural competition. the firm’s entry is based on the concept of a diaphragm, creating
an iconic new station for miami’s metromover rail system. the building’s façade is comprised of a large
scale interactive display that will display images, video and art installations linking the interior to the
plaza outside. the design aims to also connect the station to the plaza outside through a series of ramps.
inside, travelers can do more than just wait for their train, taking in interesting videos or socializing in
the expansive atrium that is more like an auditorium than a platform.
