december 9, 2009 – february 28, 2010

the museum of finnish architecture is currently showcasing the work of the one of sweden’s top architects,
gert wingardh. wingardh has been designing a wide array of buildings since founding his own studio
wingardh arkitektkontor in 1977. wingardh’s style has been described as ‘not quite modernism’, for his
use of variation and innovative forms that break from high modernism. this exhibit highlights eight of
wingardh’s works, with project descriptions written as poetry. the exhibition was originally produced by
the röhsska museum in gothenburg and is being toured around the world. the project on show include
the universeum in göteborg, sweden, the house of sweden in  washington dc and the sculpture museum
glaskasten in marl, germany.
