shared housing by kuu at shenzhen hong kong biennale 09
the air-wells are kind of a 'head in the clouds' feature of the house

shared housing is an installation by KUU that is a proposal for a new type of residence for
the burgeoning urban centers of china. the dwellings would be composed of a mix of 3m x 3m
interconnected rooms. they would be constructed to house three inhabitants to share the space
psychologically and pysically at different sclaes through the entry structure's courtyards, kitchen
and small air-wells. the installation is currently on show at the shenzhen hong kong biennale.
the dwelling has air-wells which allow sunlight and fresh air to flow into the space
