ecdm: centre de l'illustration tomi ungerer

situated in the district of 'ville neuve' near the 'place de la république' in strasbourg,
the museum for the tomy ungerer collection sets in the villa greiner, built in 1884 by
the architect samuel revel.
french architects ecdm (emmanuel combarel dominique marrec architectes) were given
the task to renovate the museum. following the requirements of the museum they created
a contemporary interior and from the outside they preserved the building in its entirety.
a snake shaped like pathway leads visitors to the entrance.
