japanese firm tezuka architects have designed gable roof house.
the private residence has a floor area of approximately 106m2,
constructed primarily with wood. as the name suggests the house has
been built using a traditional gable roof structure, however exceeding
the length of the building, creating an outdoor shaded area.

leading directly from the living and dining area, a bridge guides inhabitants towards a passageway to climb the small mountain adjacent to the dwelling.
tezuka architects: ring around a tree
contained within a five meter height, the treehouse-like structure features a series of compressed and enclosed spaces accessible only to crouching, crawling children.
tezuka architects: house of ship
featuring a wraparound balcony clad in panels of charred timber, the design was largely influenced by the aesthetic and form of 17th century battleships.
