I like the idea of light and airy but all your neighbours could see into your house and non of the rooms have doors so it's not got any privacy!
blueberrysherbet   01.19.10
no doors, no privacy, no protection against rain (sound), against sun (light and temperature) and no notion about eco building design.... to me, this is nothing close to a house... sorry.

... looks a lot like Mexican houses called "Vecindad" improvised houses where every room has its own space, but are kept connected trough playgrounds...i used to live in one of those...Great idea!

I WOULD LIVE HERE!! Wonderful concept of integrating out/in spaces. I would have an area rug made of grass, add more trees and other greenery...and utilize the outside walls to create extra storage space.

I lived in Taiwan for 4 years and have also been to Japan and Korea. It is fairly common to use sliding doors in Asian architecture as many times there isn't space or a good way to swing a door without blocking something else. In the US we used to use a lot of sliding doors (aka, pocket doors) because it was difficult to close a large archway with swinging doors.

contained within a discreet rectangular volume, a ground layer of sand transitions from the entry yard to the interior of the home, dissolving the distinction between the external and internal environments.
