'fallingwater', also known as the edgar j. kaufmann sr. residence, is a house designed
by american architect frank lloyd wright in 1934 in rural southwestern pennsylvania,
50 miles southeast of pittsburgh. the house was built partly over a waterfall in bear run
at rural route 1 in the mill run section of stewart township, fayette county, pennsylvania,
in the laurel highlands of the allegheny mountains.

following his lego model of le corbusier's villa savoye matija grguric created a
model of american architect's falling water. construction took around 7 months and is made
out of more than 15 000 bricks. read more about the project here.

You know, if Lego introduced a larger line of products with a high "R" insulating value, they could very well take over the housing construction market.
BTW, good job on the house Matija Grguric. You play with Lego extraordinarily well.

uhh... I hate to be a kill joy but what's with this recent wave of making stuff with lego? Loads of people seem to be doing it lately and I just don't get why it makes sites like this. Do it in your living room or whatever but it hardly counts as design work any more than jigsaw puzzles or matchstick houses.

Just like it.
Pedro, using legos originates from art. Some people recently started it again - has been done before but in a different way.
Don't remember the artists' names though.

@pedro: It's more design work than a puzzle. And there's an extra layer to it than matchstick houses Besides, it's just for fun. I wouldn't be interested in design at all were it not for childhood experience with lego.

@ Pedro... the design aspect here is not the LEGO but the Frank Lloyd Wright building ...
