japanese designer kouichi okamoto recently completed a solo exhibition at the shizuoka prefectural museum
of art, japan. the exhibition featured lighting installations and new prototypes of his work. over 100 ‘mobile lights’
hung from the ceiling in one of his installations. his ‘mobile light’ consists of solar power panels, that uses the sun’s
energy to power the light. he also reproduced the ‘bulb lantern’ installation that was first exhibited at the
stockholm furniture fair in 2008.
