in the atelier today everything is still rigorously executed by hand. all of the furniture and the more precious porcelains are produced in yearly limited editions. this characteristic of the production contributes to heighten the value, favouring collectivism. fornasetti used an incredible diversity of media, of materials : wash, plaster, porcelain, mineral powders,metal, linoleum, fresco, white lead, plastics, fabrics, sheet steel... and techniques : painting, drawing, engraving, lithography (which today has been evolved into serigraphy), stucco, maiolica, lacquer work... on thousands of objects, some designed by himself or by gio ponti, others simply purchased to be decorated : plates, watches, tables, screens, bicycles, chairs, lamps, mirrors, containers, fabric...
