CASA MOLLINO (MUSEUM)

carlo mollino was a student of the occult.
the spiritual interiorization not only of the world, but of the ultimate reason
for the existence has been the nutrient of his entire work.

turin, the city he lived in all his life, is also famous for its egyptian museum…
quite a few of the objects in the have through the years gathered an aura of
legend that often surfaces in strange tales…
in particular, mollino was fascinated by the tomb of the royal architect kha
(ca. 1390-1352 B.C.E), found intact in deir el medineh by the egyptologist
ernesto schiaparelli (during his escavation campaigns between
1900 and 1920) and transfered
in the museum.
