mollino was also an outrageous photographer.
each shoot was a sort of ceremony,
he incessantly controlled every
aspect of these remarkable
images - although the negative,
that is born perfect, for him does
not exist. mollino made largely
use of retouching techniques in
order to create a certain fantasy he
had already constructed in his
mind's eye.
