the ‘architectural machine for augmented intimacy’ is a recent project by young swiss architecture office, le repaire fantastique. constructed for art genève 2015, the project is an attempt to discuss issues of intimacy through the eyes of a modern hermit. the ‘architectural machine’ takes form as a four meter high metal structure. other necessary narratives, including a hanging stove to heat the tub and a panoramic screen with nature images help further the idea.
