kiwi designer ben wahrlich created ‘constellation’, a range of star-patterned pendant lamps for anaesthetic — a collaboration between wahrlich and kiri hughes. ‘for us, staring up at the sky on a clear night, and looking at the sheer beauty and vastness of space is very humbling. we wanted to capture the essence of this feeling and recreate it.’ each star is represented with an adapted version of the studio’s bala pendant. ‘constellation’ is available in six different options, catering to interiors of different scale; from a simple two-light form like gemini, to a six lamp combination like pisces. the object is created using precision-machined polished brass, with hanging options in cloth-braided cable or solid brass tube.
