leading plastics company, the keter group, while known for its industrial manufacturing, recognized the handcraft movement and consumers’ desires for products that have a more emotional aesthetic and appeal. after several years of research and experimentation with its design team, they developed a method in which they could apply the process of injection-molding to create a deep surface finish that results in a soft 3D woven appearance.

the ‘knit’ collection combines creativity and design with the everyday, functional qualities of plastic. bringing forth new aesthetic values to polymers, the keter group showcases its innovation and technical know-how, uniting the qualities of hand-made techniques, with mass production. the range of indoor and outdoor planters not only have the appearance of knit, but they also express the tactility of something softer and deeply textured proving the versatility and possibilities of plastic.

this initial unveiling of the ‘knit’ collection is only a small excerpt of a larger family of products which will be expanded into a wide range of accessories and furniture for indoor and outdoor use. the ‘knit’ range is protected by several international design and patent applications.
