LG stanbyME GO can stream movies, play boardgames as the 27-inch TV in a suitcase is touchscreen, and operate as a turntable anywhere.
Watch and play with LG StanbyME GO TV in a suitcase
LG Electronics has introduced the smart indoor and outdoor LG StanbyME GO, a 27-inch touch display with a 20W four-channel speaker system packed inside a suitcase so travelers can bring all-around entertainment anywhere they go. By ‘all-around,’ we mean that LG StanbyME GO can stream movies, play music like a turntable, and be used for tabletop and touchscreen games, to name a few.
Since it is packed inside a suitcase, it may be easy to slide LG StanbyME GO into narrow spaces, which might make it handy to carry anywhere. It is also equipped with a built-in battery that enables up to three hours of use without a connection to an external power outlet. LG showcases its new addition at IFA 2023 in Berlin, where the new electric BMW Vision Neue Klasse is also present, alongside some of its recent lifestyle TVs.
Rotatable touchscreen display with ‘tablet’ mode
LG builds its StanbyME GO on the original StanbyME and takes it further by stuffing the touchscreen display in a sturdy suitcase. The luggage also includes safe storage for the product’s remote control and power cable and a shell casing to shrug off impacts. The TV in a suitcase supports a range of different uses and personal preferences as users can tilt the screen depending on their desired viewing angle, rotate it 90 degrees from landscape to portrait and back, adjust its height by up to 18 centimeters, or put it in Table mode.
The LG StanbyME Go’s screen lies flat in the lower portion of the case when it is in Table mode to let users play digital board games like chess or turn on the virtual record player like a turntable. If it becomes a music player, StanbyME GO’s built-in speakers automatically optimize audio output to the front of the screen, enhanced through support for Dolby’s advanced video and sound technologies, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
LG StanbyME GO supports voice commands
The TV in a suitcase also features an automatic on/off feature that activates when the case is opened and deactivates when closed. LG claims that the StanbyME Go is durable, having passed 11 tests in accordance with U.S. military standards. The results demonstrate that the StanbyME GO can withstand low pressure, high pressure, low temperature, dust, and salt spray, while also offering protection against shock, vibration, and accidental drops.
The StanbyME Go comes equipped with LG’s webOS smart TV platform to let users connect to their iOS or Android devices. It also features speech recognition for hands-free app opening, sound control, and content searching. This function may be beneficial for individuals who want to cook, clean, or engage in other activities while watching. LG StanbyME Go has been launched in the US, with plans for a global rollout to key markets in Europe, including Italy, France, the UK, Spain, and Germany, starting around October 2023.
