20 projects inspire submission to A’ design award and competition 2024

With its annual selection of projects, the A’ Design Award and Competition showcase what modern designers have to offer. With their broad span of categories, players in all corners of the industry have an opportunity to get their works recognized, publicized and pushed forward. To spark creativity, designboom has created a list of 20 past winners. 20 past winners, including transparent sofas, a playground made out of containers, and sculpture-looking fashion items.

the designers’ path to success 

The A’ design offers an international platform where designers can receive recognition and publicity for their work. With categories like  ‘Lighting Products and Projects,’ ‘Toy, Games and Hobby Products,’ ‘Furniture,’ ‘Digital and Electronic Device,’ ‘Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware,’ and ‘Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism,’ a diverse range of design projects are eligible for submission. Throughout the period from submission to winner announcements, the competition offers designers support in their journey. The jury panel is not just professional designers – it’s a diverse, international group of professors, entrepreneurs, journalists and publishers who share a keen eye for emerging talent and great design. They are required to follow a strict code of conduct to ensure the integrity of the award. An extra perk of the competition: for participants seeking feedback before the final selections, A’ Design offers ‘preliminary evaluation and checking,’ where the jury provides some initial insights on the submitted designs.

Winning projects featured may 1st on designboom

Winners are not just given a trophy and the prestigious title. They are offered a host of networking and growth opportunities that will follow them through their career. The A’ Design Prize includes a feature in the design exhibition at the Museum of Outstanding Design (MOOD), a mention in the ‘Yearbook of Best Designs,’ PR and publicity, inclusion in world design rankings, and an invite to the award’s Gala-Night. Among the long-list of benefits in the winner’s pack, awardees will get their projects translated into a variety of languages, be included in the GOOD and BCDN networks, and receive press coverage in popular design publications (like designboom)!
