valentine’s day is upon us, and what better way to celebrate love than through literature. designers eurydyka kata & rafał szczawiński have had fun with the surprisingly versatile shape of the heart to create graphics for the cover of each book that somehow cleverly weaves the form into the image. each picture uses the shape as the center of the composition around which a symbolic illustration and typography are arranged. the novels range from pulp romances through to venerable classics to postmodernist experiments – but all feature some version of the eternal love theme. happy valentine’s day!
