‘XiX’ light by formfjord for kanekaimage by michael tewes

using OLED panels produced by kaneka, formfjord has created ‘Xix’, a small light whose faceted sides play with the brightness of its environment, reflecting patterned jewels of color. thin OLEDs are embedded between two solid bodies of cut-glass – discretely hiding the electroluminescent layers of technology – to create small geometric volumes, which appear as a whimsy of kaleidoscopic crystals.
