Daniel Arsham and Team Ikuzawa are joining forces for a design-minded presentation at this year’s Goodwood Revival, one of the world’s premier historic motoring events. The collaboration will feature a bespoke-livery Porsche alongside an exclusive capsule collection, highlighting the meeting of contemporary artistry and classic automotive culture.

The bespoke livery of the Porsche 904 GTS and the accompanying capsule collection are the creative outputs of artist Daniel Arsham and Creative Director Mai Ikuzawa. This collaboration merges elements of the original 1980s Team Ikuzawa minimalist branding with motifs inspired by lunar phases — a recurring theme in Arsham’s early work — and the sun, an emblem central to Tetsu Ikuzawa’s identity. Goodwood holds a special place in the hearts of both artists, serving as a significant source of inspiration in their creative endeavors.

Celebrating a Legacy with Racing Royalty at goodwood revival

Created by Daniel Arsham and Team Ikuzawa, the Porsche 904 will be driven by the legendary father-son duo, Emanuele Pirro, a former Formula 1 driver and five-time Le Mans winner, and his son, Goffredo Pirro. This collaboration celebrates the deep-rooted historical ties both Daniel Arsham and Team Ikuzawa have with Porsche. Tetsu Ikuzawa, known as the first Porsche factory driver from Japan and a pioneer for Japanese drivers at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, left a lasting mark on motorsport history. His victory at the 1967 Japan Grand Prix in a Porsche 906 cemented his status as a national hero and a beloved figure at Goodwood. Following in his footsteps, his daughter Mai Ikuzawa participated in last year’s Festival of Speed.

The Porsche 904 will be showcased at Goodwood Revival — an annual, three-day motorsport festival held this year from September 6th — 8th. The car is owned by David Clark, co-owner of JOTA, a prominent name in the industry. Powered by JOTA Sport, this car will feature the JOTA logo in Japanese during the 6 Hours of Fuji on September 15th, as part of a broader collaboration between JOTA and Team Ikuzawa.

Alongside the racing activities themselves, the partnership will debut a special paddock area near the entrance to the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation, presented by Bonhams|Cars. This space will showcase the exclusive capsule collection, which includes items such as a white denim varsity jacket, hoodie, T-shirt, trunk bags, keyring, art print, and a car grill badge. Each piece reflects the fusion of Team Ikuzawa’s rich Japanese motorsport heritage with the innovative artistic vision of Daniel and Mai Ikuzawa, complemented by the enduring British legacy of Goodwood.
