‘where the memory used to sit’ collection by guillem ferrán

 

 

catalan designer guillem ferrán has carried out the project ‘donde la memoria solía sentarse’ [where memory used to sit], for casa constante, a family business founded in 1914 which continues to produce hand-made work. the designer´s work has been focused on providing this company – which specialises in the production of anea chairs – an icon in popular culture, with new approaches that enrich the company catalogue. in response, ferrán has created a collection of stools, a chair / coat rack, a lamp chair and a footrest.

 

the project is being presented at one of a kind – a collective exhibition featuring projects from
 marcelo rosembaum/pedrita, tomás alonso, curro claret, álvaro catalán de ocón, guillem ferran;, tomas kral, hella jongerius, martín azúa, bcxsy, florie salnot, fernando y humberto campana,
