The Africa International Design Awards (AIDA Awards) is a pioneering design advocacy platform that recognises and celebrates both African designers and international designers whose work is deeply rooted in Africa, creating innovative solutions to address the unique challenges faced by African communities.
AIDA Awards focuses on four design disciplines each category highlights creativity and reflects Africa’s Unique design language: Spatial Design, Product Design, Fashion and Communication Design.
We invite all design professionals, students, companies, independent studios, and collectives to submit their work. Selected winners will receive international recognition, visibility across our media platforms, and a chance to showcase their vision on the international stage. AIDA Awards accepts applications for projects developed within the last five years, including conceptual ideas, prototypes, or completed works already in use or circulation.
The jury of the AIDA Awards comprises a diverse and distinguished group of design professionals, educators, cultural figures, and creative experts from across Africa and beyond. Their role is to evaluate submitted work across the categories (Spatial, Fashion, Communication, Product design) and to ensure a high standard of creativity, relevance, and impact:

SUBMISSION DETAILS
The Africa International Design Awards are open to anyone aged 18 and above, regardless of their country of residence. Applicants living outside of Africa should either be of African origin or submit projects that have been developed or realized in Africa. All submissions must demonstrate a clear and meaningful connection to the continent.
