takeshi miyakawa: still de stijl round table

japanese born, new york based designer takeshi miyakawa has sent us photos of his project ‘still de stijl’ commissioned by salon 94;one of a series of tables that have tubular or channel shaped legs in different sizes to achieve a unique and playful design. these featured supports are finished with cast epoxy mixed with fluorescent green pigment–the same green of salon 94’s bowery logo. the geometric elements, flat planes and bold colors which he employs reference the style of the dutch artistic movement de stijl,for which the furniture is also named after.
