morpholio 2.0 launches 7 new tools for the creative world

the morpholio project has entered the fast-growing digital creative community with a slew of tools that help integrate the contemporary artist/designerwith our technological world. their previously released trace app (covered by designboom here) opened a large door for handheld tablet and smart phoneusers, allowing them to trace over the real world with virtually no limitations and a dynamic tool-set for varying levels of details. their newest release jumpsmiles ahead of a one-dimensional interface interaction, and begins to facilitate communication, access, and sharing capabilities.

it is no longer about a single person being able to record and express ideas on their private handheld device, but instead about how these ideas can sharedand interpreted in a network – it encompasses the ideas of production and analysis. ‘these new tools are absolutely integral to the daily workings of any image driven process,’ explains co-creator toru hasegawa, ‘and have huge implications for both design and artistic practice.’ the team worked over the past year with a group of professionals from different fields to ensure a resilient product that can be used effectively by any creative field.

portfolio futures creates a customized book of images, translatable through various device formats, that changes with the growing and shifting needs of thedesigner, rather than forcing the user to commit to a template that may become impractical over tim

eye time layout

eyetime records each of your entries and keeps track of how much and often they are being seen. this may be crucial for getting indirect social feedback onyour work.

individually choose who you share your work with

the crit tool allows you to share an image with as many other people as desired where each can give their own feedback be it through sketches, remarks, or comments.

pin up and crit use

the trace function from the previous release is integrated into the app, offering unlimited layers of virtual tracing paper for the designer to sketch out ideas.

color palettes

the drawing features have been greatly improved with the introduction of palettes. each field of design typically contains a set of colors used to denote various pieces of information. with palettes, the user can choose from highly intelligent color palettes to correctly represent their drawings in a language that fellow creatives can understand.

formatted for smaller to larger handheld devices

pinup is a virtual public gallery where your work can be displayed for anyone to admire or follow, inviting feedback from the general public at the same time.

visual concept

where the app becomes essential to the designer is in its ability to deliver your sketches in print-ready formats to be manifested as physical objects. most apps canonly digitally transfer your work to other digital sources, but with printables your drawings are ready to go straight to print with one-touch easy formatting forjust about any application needed.
