the ‘now and new’ project by PEGA design reflects on how technology has played a recurring role in society. conceived as a collection of interactive objects, each specifically accommodates the already existing objects and transforms how we integrate them into our lives. the ‘windup’ wooden chair allows users to charge smartphones through a manual crank. the winding crank encourages people to physically generate power for recharging their devices.
