completed in 2010 by norwegian link arkitektur as, the nordahl grieg high school project provides an ideal educational facility for studying and leisurely activities, as the region sees approximately 240 days of dark winter months with rain.

the building consists of two large volumes jointly positioned, with sport facilities and classrooms allocated separately. a copper roof folds around the structural body, where inserted glass facades with colored prints bring the high-school to life. the mostly transparent exterior utilizes the precious sunlight to flood the interior spaces. randomly distributed contrasting windows, glass doors and accentuated placedfurnishings create striking interior compositions and a friendly ambiance. the entrance hall becomes the central nerve, connecting the different studies and common rooms. designed as a landscape over three levels, it offers various indoor meeting and studying areas, which can, in addition be used for celebration, concerts, theater and school gatherings. the traffic structure is easy to read and the layout of the teaching area very flexible for different pedagogic approaches. the common rooms can be rented out individually
