There’s an upgraded version coming for the electric podbike Frikar named TwoZero, and it encases riders within a transparent canopy with a built-in fan. A four-wheel pedal-electric vehicle, the aluminum-built frame wraps around the rider and is made from polycarbonate. The transparent shell protects them from rain, snow, and wind, and at the same time gives them a clear view of the roads. 

It’s similar to a car, but instead of stepping on the pedal all the time, riders pedal with electric assist as they move around cities. The canopy has integrated ventilation using the built-in fan and air filter to keep the air fresh inside the cabin, especially during extreme and humid weather conditions. For when it rains or snows, there’s a windshield wiper on the front screen that riders can activate. They can also opt out for winter tires and rims in case they want to pedal the electric podbike TwoZero.

Adjustable seat and lockable storage in the cabin

It may seem wide, but the electric podbike TwoZero is slightly wider than bicycle handlebars, so it’s easy to drive it around narrow roads and small cities as well as bicycle lanes. Since the vehicle rides on four wheels instead of the traditional two, beginners can’t tip over, but they still need to be careful and mindful of the other vehicles on the road. Each wheel has disc brakes, and riders control front and rear braking with separate levers, similar to a traditional bicycle. There’s a four-wheel suspension on board too to help absorb bumps and road vibration.

The electric podbike TwoZero consumes around 15 watt-hours of energy per kilometer, and a typical charge can deliver up to 60 kilometers of range using less than one kilowatt-hour of electricity. Batteries are removable and can be swapped in about 20 seconds too. Inside, the seat position and pedals are adjustable to fit riders between roughly 155 and 200 centimeters tall, and there’s lockable storage space that allows users to carry bags or groceries. The team has launched the campaign for the electric podbike TwoZero, and they plan to complete the production of 180 units for the Classic model, which is expected to come out in 2027.
