Introduction
There is a space that escapes definition—a space suspended between possibilities, between reality and imagination. Like Schrödinger’s famous paradox, it exists in multiple states at once, changing only when observed. This competition is not about designing a conventional room, but about imagining a space that embodies uncertainty, perception, and the wonder of infinite possibilities.

Competition
Schrödinger’s Room is an international conceptual architecture competition open to anyone who believes design is about creating emotions and exploring ideas. Inspired by the principle of superposition, participants are invited to design a room—real or imaginary—conceived as a perceptual installation, where light, sound, material, and human presence shape changing experiences. The room can be any size or form. What matters is its ability to express uncertainty and multiple interpretations. We are not looking for predictable solutions, but for ideas that provoke emotions, questions, and imagination. Design not just a room, but an experience.
