The Heydar Aliyev Center, an international convention and cultural center designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, presents Reborn into the Water, an exhibition tracing the artistic trajectory of famous super-realist American sculptor Carole Feuerman.
Bringing together 31 sculptures spanning from the 1970s to recent decades, the exhibition centers on Feuerman’s emblematic Swimmers series while revealing the broader influences shaping her practice, from feminism and postmodernism to everyday human experience. Rendered in resin, painted bronze, and stainless steel, the figures use water as a recurring metaphor for memory, renewal, and resilience, positioning the human body as both intimate narrative and universal symbol.
