LOVE collection translates the heart into sculptural objects

Istanbul-based designer Sami Savatli introduces LOVE, a two-piece collectible design collection comprising the LOVE Chair and LOVE Side Table. Conceived at the intersection of design and sculpture, the collection explores how structure, material, and gesture can transform familiar forms into objects with an independent spatial presence.

The LOVE Chair takes the familiar outline of the heart as its point of departure, but removes it from conventional symmetry and symbolism. Rather than appearing as an applied motif, the form emerges directly from the structure of the chair. Lines extend, divide and reconnect, moving between silhouette and support, while shifts in volume allow the object to read differently from each viewpoint. The LOVE Side Table develops the same language without repeating the heart literally. Its branching structure carries the movement of the chair into a more compact form, connecting the two pieces through proportion, rhythm and construction rather than visual repetition.

Hand-finished cast aluminum shapes LOVE Chair and LOVE Table

Both pieces are produced by designer Sami Savatli in Istanbul in cast aluminum and individually finished by hand. Subtle irregularities in surface, texture and reflection are retained as part of the making process, giving each object its own material character. As light moves across the aluminum, the collection shifts between solidity and visual lightness, reinforcing its sculptural presence. Positioned between collectible design and sculpture, LOVE retains the function of furniture while establishing an autonomous presence within space.
