DEMI NGUYEN BRINGS STRATEGIC THINKING TO VISUAL STORYTELLING
Based in Dallas, Texas, designer Demi Nguyen develops brand identities, digital interfaces, editorial publications, and communication systems across the technology, media, and cultural sectors. Informed by lived experience across Vietnam, Hungary, and the United States, her practice pairs structured research with experimental typography and modular graphic systems tailored to technical corporate contexts and cultural archives alike.

FROM FINANCIAL SYSTEMS TO FLEXIBLE BRAND IDENTITIES
Within corporate environments, Nguyen works as a graphic designer in the global creative operations division at Texas Instruments, producing campaign graphics, enterprise collateral, and commemorative event assets such as visual identities for Jack Kilby Day. Her independent projects examine the intersection of digital systems and user accessibility: Kivo, a speculative fintech identity developed as a capstone, translates financial services into an approachable visual system tailored to creative entrepreneurs via AI platform prototypes, landing pages, and marketing toolkits. Similarly, for consultancy Team Union, Nguyen devised a modular design framework spanning competitor benchmarks, pitch decks, Figma proposal templates, and custom spot illustrations.

DESIGNING FOR AUDIENCES, CULTURE, AND EVERYDAY EXPERIENCES
Her cultural and public communication portfolio encompasses broadcast and digital graphics for North Texas public media outlet KERA, as well as institutional print collateral, campus illustrations, and a 166-page annual report for Texas Christian University. Nguyen’s self-initiated research explores media translation and vernacular typography: Creator investigates YouTube digital culture through printed publication layouts, while Vietype functions as an open digital archive cataloging Vietnamese hand-drawn lettering and signage produced between the 1960s and 1980s. A complementary documentary photography practice captures light, domestic interiors, and streetscapes, reinforcing an observational methodology rooted in legibility, context, and structural coherence.
