today’s office spaces are based on more flexible and open-plan principles, however the layout often does not allow for more individual spaces and blurs group dynamics in some ways. as a response to this problem, spanish-based kawamura-ganjavian have designed ‘giraffe’, a portable space divider.

‘giraffe’ is meant to create a visual enclosure for those sitting behind it, without interfering with the overall openness of a room. its main headboard is made from cork which can act as a pin board, and also houses a hub for wired connections such as ethernet or electrical plugs. the divider has two sets of wheels making it easy to move around any working space.
