Project Years 2009 – 2010. Delivered January 2011. Cost : 400,000 Euros before Tax Surface SHON : 300 m2 Objective B.B.C (Low Consumption Building).

The project consists in the renovation of a versatile hall built in the 1970’s in order to decrease the heating expenditure by four. It is part of a strong willingness to enhance sustainable development by the construction of a building of great environmental performance, of level BBC.

The building is reconsidered in direct link with its environment. It is covered with boarding out of natural red cedar, mirroring the wooden park which surrounds it. The creation of a broad bay window gives the possibility to benefit fully from the view on the natural areas. It also brings a greater contribution of natural light and a better visual comfort. Sun breakers out of wood are designed to ensure the solar protection of the windows.

The installation of a reinforced insulation envelope in the roof and on the vertical walls, the creation of a reception hall, the replacement of the heating installations doubled by a double air flow treatment power station, the repair of the joineries, floors and ceilings, are as many elements which make it possible to improve the thermal, hygrothermic and acoustic comfort for the users.

The materials used are ecological and easy to maintain: wood fiber acoustic ceilings, resin and rubber floors, laminated wooden walls, aluminum windows and natural wood boarding. The colors and materials were selected to create a soft, friendly and profound atmosphere.
