portland-based designer james owen has finished two new products released through the vehicle outfitter yakima. both the ‘soulpad’ foam platform and the ‘ripcord’ strap are directed at the surfing market, but are easily adaptable to other gear if needed.

designed to work with other yakima rack gear, the 16 inch wide ‘soulpad’ is made from molded EVA-foam for cushioning equipment during transport on crossbars. while the ‘ripcord’ is a locking tie-down strap with braided stainless steel cable inside one inch webbing allowing for both comfort and security.
