controversial 2001 turner prize winner martin creed is currently exhibiting at bard college in new york where his provocative piece ‘work no. 227: lights going on and off’, which won him the coveted prize, can be seen. the exhibition is a combination of his own work and a selection of minimalist and conceptual pieces from the hessel collection which have inspired him. the works on show include painting, sculpture, drawing, video, installation, language and music, but whatever the medium they are guaranteed to be challenging.
