generated by painting with icons on an iPhone, the irish born, australian-based designer marcus byrne, captures the moving light trails in the air to form letters. shot in the dark with a 3.5 second exposure the unique characters reflect their flowing, movement-produced method, with the icons still visible in the typography. developing the font a step further, the upper-case letter ‘z’ was 3D printed in a green acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which is similar to lego material. the full set of characters are available in true type and open type format and can be downloaded from the designer for free here.
